Chrysocolla

Chrysocolla forms in the oxidation zones of copper ore bodies. Associated minerals are quartz, limonite, azurite, malachite, cuprite, and other secondary copper minerals.  Chrysocolla has an attractive blue-green color and is a minor ore of copper. It is also used as an ornamental stone. Because of its light color, it is sometimes confused with turquoise. Gem grade chrysocolla can be highly prized.  Notable occurrences include Israel, Democratic Republic of Congo, Chile, Cornwall in England, and Arizona, Utah, New Mexico and Pennsylvania in the United States.

This mineral revitalized and clams the base, sacral, and solar plexus chakras.  At the heart chakra, it can also assist in the ease of emotional heartache and to give renewed strength and balance; it further increases ones capacity to love.  At the throat chakra, it can give both strength and balance in ones expression and communication.  The stone also helps one to refrain from verbalization when silence would  be beneficial.  Overall, Chrysocolla promotes harmony by helping one to release the distress culminating from negative emotions.  It also furthers ones understanding of others, while helping one to recognize that there is more to live than that which is evidenced in materiality.
